Artisanal Sicilian carob extract provide rich dietary fiber, antioxidants, and a caffeine-free alternative to chocolate, a natural sweetener with no added sugars, with an intense flavor, perfect for desserts and creative recipes.
This carob extract is made from our carob pods grown in the Ispica quarry. Its sweetness comes directly from the fruit, with no added sugars.
A recipe with roots in history: during the Second World War, when sugar was scarce or absent, carob represented a valuable alternative natural sweetener.
Also known as “Dibs el kharrub” in Middle Eastern countries, it is used in numerous traditional preparations, from tahini creams to spicy salads.
An ancient and versatile ingredient, combining Sicilian tradition with influences from distant cuisines.
